Gameloft is one of the top players in the Video Game industry. It has released more than 500 games. Gameloft approximates 930 million downloads on those platforms. The Game Industry has grown a lot in the last few years. Particularly, in the mobile games industry, where games have been following the Smartphone trend. In the mobile application industry, games have evolved to a new model: freemium. The model allows for high downloads (free- to-play) and ongoing revenue streams (micro-transactions). In order to follow the trend, Gameloft Vietnam, launched the Creation Project in 2011. This case study aims at analyzing the reasons for failure of the project. Following the latest trend, mobile advertising, Gameloft Vietnam, opened the first Gameloft Mobile Advertising Agency in the world. This case will also assess the KSF of this new agency. This case will tackle the issues in strategy and management within Gameloft during the previous years and assess the future of this agency.
